The Meridian Library District’s Summer Reading Program helps thousands of children maintain literacy skills and foster a love of reading. Open to all, participants receive two free books and engage in challenges, prizes, and activities to prevent the "summer slide." Each year, the program provides over 5,000 free books, helping kids build home libraries and enhance literacy.
Due to rising costs and increased participation, the district can no longer fund the program within its budget. We invite community partners to sponsor this essential program, ensuring children continue to receive the resources and experiences needed to thrive academically. Your support is critical to keeping the program's success alive and inspiring a lifelong love of reading.
