National Library Week: Reading Celebration
National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. This year the Foundation will be celebrating reading & libraries with the Bookmobile at the Chick-Fil-A Village on Eagle Rd in Meridian.
The Bookmobile will be offering free crafts, activities, library card sign-ups, story times, and tours of the bus.
The Foundation will be handing out 200 free books to youth in our community (special Thank You to our TITLES Sponsor: Mountain West Bank!) and will be hosting a raffle to raise funds to support the library.
Additionally, Chick-Fil-A Village at Meridian will donate 10% of the daily proceeds to support our Meridian Library District!

The Bookmobile will be parked in the front "curbside delivery" parking spaces.
Story times will be offered on the patio (weather permitting).
WHEN:
11am-7pm
With story times during lunch & dinner hours. The Foundation will be giving away 200 free books throughout the event; 100 books at 12pm & an additional 100 books at 5pm!

FREE Crafts, Books, & Activities!
The Bookmobile will be onsite offering library card sign ups, tours of the bus, free crafts & activities. The Foundation will be available inside with free books, information about the library, and a raffle basket!

One of the ways the Meridian Library Foundation will be raising funds to support our Meridian Library District during National Library Week is through a Raffle Basket (valued at $400):

Raffle tickets may be purchased online, or at our in-person READING CELEBRATION on Tuesday, April 25th from 11am-7pm at the Chick-Fil-A Village at Meridian (cash, check, or major credit). Raffle ticket sales close at 5pm on Friday, April 28th. Winner announced Monday, May 1st. 100% of the proceeds directly support the Meridian Library District.

One winner in each age group will receive a tote bag with FREE books, and a coupon for a free meal at Chick-Fil-A Village at Meridian! (no purchase necessary). Entries are due no later than Friday, April 28th by 5pm.
Coloring Contest Rules: Pick up a coloring page with the appropriate age group printed on the front. Coloring Sheets are available at the Cherry Lane Library or can be printed using the link below. One entry per person. Please print name, age, and phone number clearly. Turn color sheets into the children’s information desk at the Cherry Lane Library OR bring them to the Foundation Table inside the Chick-Fil-A Village at Meridian during our Reading Celebration on Tuesday, April 25th. Winners will be notified Monday, May 1st; winners will be notified using the phone number provided. *information received above will only be used to notify winners.
